Cruz-Diez’s Color Aditivo [Additive Color] Series experiments with color by examining one of the fundamental concepts of painting: a colored form next to another. Between the narrow red and green lines a “virtual” yellow is created. This third color is not painted on the surface, it is only visible to the eye and changes depending on lighting and the viewer’s position.
