About the artist:
This is one of Cruz-Diez`s more recent investigations. A thin black line at a slight gradient from the underlying pattern of straight colored lines brings into focus how color is caught in space. This creates the effect that the line itself has taken on a spectrum of color, but these new colors are visible only to the eye.

Sobre el artista:
Esta es una de las investigaciones más recientes de Cruz-Diez. Una delgada línea negra con un ligero gradiente del patrón subyacente de líneas rectas de colores resalta cómo se captura el color en el espacio. Esto crea el efecto de que la línea misma ha adquirido un espectro de color, pero estos nuevos colores son visibles solo para el ojo.
