Cruz-Diez’s Color Aditivo [Additive Color] Series experiments with color by examining one of the fundamental concepts of painting: a colored form next to another. Between the narrow red, Green and blue lines other “virtual” colors are created. These colors are not painted on the surface, but only visible to the eye and they change depending on lighting and the viewer’s position.
